- Voice over IP
So did steve announce things that people wanted?
- A New Lock Screen? – Not really.
- A New Home Screen – Well its now got Wallpaper feature!
- Vertical Swiping – None mentioned
- Overhaul App navigation via Folders or Éxpose – Yes folder features but not éxpose.
- Multitasking – Definitely now a feature!
- Flash – A Blunt “NO”
- Ability to Disable landscape mode – Not mentioned at the event.
- Ability for Apps to remember where they were – Well this properly comes under multitasking.
- Ability to Remove apple branded Apps – Not shown at the event although i guess you could put them in a folder to get them off the main home screen!
- A Documents Folder – Nope not seen.
- Calendar events on the Lock Screen – No
- Local App notifications – Yes! Local Push notifications.
- Background Audio whilst in other Apps – Yes works through the Multi-Tasking feature!
So it seems Apple have listened to some features but not to others. But over time i guess they could be added! The more obvious features like multi-tasking have been developed to the top of their ability! And apparently doesn’t affect battery life of Performance!
