Sky to broadcast 3D TV.

Its been confirmed from sky now that they will be launching 3D TV later this year. Apparently June.

After sitting in the cinema waiting for Avatar 3D to start with the boring adverts you get for about 20 minutes before the actual film, one advert did catch my eye. The Sky HD 3D advert.

This was an actual sky advert advertising the fact they will be broadcasting 3D channels in June. It will use the original HD box to output.

But of course your not going to just be able to hook it up to a normal HDTV you’re going to need a brand new 3D TV or 3D projector. O and a nice pair of fashionable 3D Glasses.

There has been no mention of how much this 3D package will cost nor what channels or how many will be included.

Only time will tell how this service will work and how popular it will be.
